Prefabricated doors get their name from the fact that they are assembled from individual parts without the use of joints. Each part is covered with a cladding material that is fixed into the grooves during assembly, providing protection against damage and moisture.

DESIGN AND FEATURES 

Well-known examples of prefabricated constructions are king-post interior doors, which consist of the following elements:

• Two side racks;
• Horizontal crossbars called kingpins;
• Decorative elements and/or glass inserts.

The frames are connected to the uprights using long ties, and the plugs cover the upper ends of the ties for a finished look. No glue is used in the assembly process, which increases the reliability and environmental friendliness of the finished product. A larger number of ties provides a more robust construction. Laminated opaque glass is usually used for decorative inserts.

The main part of a kingpost door is the frame, which consists of side posts and horizontal bars.

When manufacturing prefabricated doors, solid wood and solid MDF boards with pine timber are used. This combination of materials increases the durability and longevity of the products.
